Sneak Peak at the new site - Sea-Patrol.com

Soon we'll switch to vBulletin 4.0 which will change the way the site is run. We will no longer require 2 pieces of software to run the site (Wordpress and vBulletin) - the site will run entirely off of vBulletin. This should make things much easier to manage.

As it stands, I am having some issues, however, I am pushing forward with the template design. Thankfully I found one close to what I want to do. I've attached some images to show you where I'm up to.

As you can see, vBulletin has been redesigned, and is supposed to be much faster, and easier to use - when we do switch, it will take some getting used to. I can't do much about this, but we've gone through some major forum changes before (JoomlaBoard > FireBoard > Simple Machines Forum > vBulletin 3) and now vBulletin 4.

Thanks for that Hawker; the new upgrade looks really good!

And really, who cares too much about the learning curve? People adapt and learn to deal. It'll be best in the long run.

It's like everything; when you buy a new phone, a new washing machine, a new car... it takes a while to get used to everything! So I'm sure we'll get used to it in time and we'll end up finding it as easy to use as we do with this site.
